Jim's Journey

The day after thanksgiving, I hopped in the car with my buddy Sean and headed southwest. We visited a good friend of mine and hiked up and down the grand canyon with him. Then we headed to Flagstaff to see some old friends I haven’t seen in several years. Enjoy a brief video and some photos.

Here is an extremely exciting video chronicling My trip across Washington, Oregon, Idaho,Utah to Denver. Sean came along for the ride. No one was hurt in the making of this video, except the pie!

Here is a video I took about 2 weeks ago summarizing that day. Taken from inside mosquito net with horrible lighting.
It was a great trip and I will be sending you all an update about it within the next couple of days.

I just got back to Thailand after visiting some friends in a neighboring country.
I was able with the help of some new friends to make an audio dictionary that will help several people to learn a language that has no learning resources.
First I wrote out in english about 400 words, then wrote them in the local trade language, then we asked folks from a minority people group to tell us how to say them in their language.

As I prepare to go back to Southeast Asia, some days are busier than others.
For example: last week I went from Vancouver WA to Seattle to Portland to Seattle to Vancouver to Seattle to Sequim to Bellingham to Seattle. I put quite a few miles on the old car.
This week is a little different. I’m sitting at my friends condo in Seattle studying language all week. Have a look at the video to see what I’m studying.
